TISSOT…
A chronological presentation illuminates the different stages of the history of Trompe-l'oeil: Prehistory and the early beginnings of the use of perspective,
The 'mosaics' painted on the floor,
The famed decors of antiquity, presented around a roman atrium
Painted renaissance ceilings...through to modern urban decor.
You will also see the different techniques employed (perspective, play of light and shadow, the imitation of different materials...) as well as the grand applications of trompe-l'oeil (urban, architectural, monumental and easel).
The temporary exhibitions
In the spirit of sharing with others the understanding of this art in all its diversity, each year exhibitions are held that accent certain techniques, schools or individual artists, such as Janine DELAPORTE, Pascal AMBLARD, FREGOSI, the GROUP OF TROMPE-L'OEIL REALITY artists, and others, who have created and participated in these events since the opening of the Museum.
